Modern Bride has a history of keeping brides-to-be in the dark about budgeting ideas and ways to cut corners. They continually insist that everyone NEEDS a bridal consultant and that a wedding gown should only be purchased through an expensive private boutique. I found many other wedding books to be so much more helpful that I suggest looking around some more before buying this book.
