Horseback Honeymoon: The Vanishing Old West of 1907 Through the Eyes of Two Young Artists in Love ReviewThis is an amazing biographical adventure about two people very much in love who decided for their honeymoon they would start in St. Paul and ride/walk to Seattle over the summer.Half the time I was amazed at the hardships they overcame, and the other half of the time I was amazed by their positive attitude about life in general.
Could this journey happen today? Not in the same way because they traveled through more wild areas and stayed with many friendly people they didn't know, but it makes me want to at least do an overnight on the A. T.
Read "Horseback Honeymoon" if you like books about the West. There are also many wonderful illustrations and photographs supplied by the couple themselves. Thank goodness their daughter, the author, shared them with us.
