Unisex Eco-Heather T-Shirt 1973 ReviewFirst, the positive. The shirts come in very nice colors, the fabric is nice, and at $9/each, the price is great. It is also good that these shirts are made of organic/recycled cotton.Onto the negative.
They fit OK, but these shirts run VERY small. The sizing says it's "unisex" but these are sized like women's shirts. I like my shirts to be fitted, so I usually order one size down (esp. with vanity sizing at so many stores where everything is bigger than it should be), but that was the wrong decision! These shirts are at least a size or a size and a half smaller than the usual sizing and are NOT unisex. The sleeves are very short, like women's baby tees. If I would have known this in advance, I would have bought a larger size. In fact, these run smaller than American Apparel, no joke! I often buy XS or S in American Apparel and they are very slim-fitting and look good. I bought two XS t-shirts and they're both too tight and too short, especially around my arms (which makes me think it's not unisex, but a woman's t-shirt).
To make things worse, if you order these shirts in anything other than white, make sure you WASH THEM SEPARATELY. The tag says to wash before wearing - don't ignore it! In fact, wash it alone TWICE before washing it with anything else. The colors bleed everywhere with these t-shirts and in multiple washings. I hand washed these t-shirts in a bucket of cold water and the colors kept dyeing the water whatever color the shirt was until the third time I washed them. I've bought vivid red t-shirts for $6 from H&M that didn't dye the water the way these shirts did. If you wash these shirts with anything else, you will ruin your other stuff. Just a warning. Last, but not least, these shirts shrink. The care instructions on the tag say "tumble dry medium" - I dried them on a low setting for a short time and they still shrank. The shirts are just good for layering or pajamas by this point.
Overall, the shirts look nice, but the quality is as cheap as the price.
